Application Fields Flue gas desulfurization systems are widely used in industries such as power generation, metallurgy, building materials, and chemical engineering. During operation, desulfurization absorption towers tend to generate large quantities of fine liquid droplets. These small droplets not only contain water but also dissolve sulfuric acid, sulfates, sulfur dioxide, and other substances. If these droplets are not properly handled, any "mist" that enters the chimney will effectively release solid particulate matter and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, while also causing severe contamination and corrosion of fans, heat exchangers, and flue ducts. Therefore, it is essential to remove mist from the clean flue gas before it leaves the absorption tower. Consequently, mist eliminators are critical components in flue gas desulfurization systems, and their performance directly affects the reliable operation of wet desulfurization systems and the environmental compliance of emissions from coal-fired power plants. Furthermore, malfunctions in mist eliminators can not only lead to the shutdown of the desulfurization system itself but may even cause the entire generating unit (or system) to go offline. Thus, scientifically and rationally designing and using mist eliminators is of paramount importance for ensuring the normal operation of wet flue gas desulfurization systems.
