[Summary]In many industrial desulfurization processes, this type of mist eliminator is essential. This is because any production process involving such chemical raw materials will generate harmful water mist. This mist isn't simply composed of pure water; rather, it contains suspended solid particles, many of which are chemical compounds themselves. As a result, the mist exhibits significant corrosive properties. Consequently, if the absorption tower operates in such an environment, its internal components will inevitably suffer corrosion—even materials like steel cannot completely avoid this issue. Given the severe corrosive effects of these chemicals, steel simply lacks the strength to withstand them, and thus the components...

In many industrial desulfurization processes, the participation of mist eliminators is essential. This is because any production process involving such chemical raw materials will generate harmful water mist. These mists are not merely composed of pure water; rather, they contain suspended solid particles, many of which are chemical compounds themselves. As a result, these mists exhibit significant corrosive properties. Consequently, if an absorption tower operates in such an environment, its components will inevitably suffer corrosion—even materials like steel cannot completely avoid this issue, given the severe corrosive nature of these chemicals. Once the components are corroded, the absorption tower can no longer function properly. After all, if even one component’s surface becomes corroded, the entire system must halt operations, since all components are interdependent and work in harmony. Any malfunction in any single link will bring the entire system to a standstill.

The function of a demister is to separate certain substances—for example, the composition of mist like this is quite complex. It doesn't consist solely of water vapor; rather, it also contains liquid droplets. Thus, the composition of such mist is not uniform, giving it some additional properties. For instance, these liquid droplets often have high corrosive potential. As a result, various components within the absorption tower inevitably suffer some degree of corrosion. Naturally, when components become corroded, they can no longer function smoothly. Therefore, corrosive substances must not be allowed to remain in such an operating environment; otherwise, the equipment will be damaged. Moreover, these liquid droplets can adhere very effectively to the surfaces of certain components. If they accumulate on the surface of the flue duct, the duct will no longer operate smoothly. Excessive buildup of contaminants can lead to blockages at the flue outlet. Consequently, if the smoke generated in the absorption tower cannot disperse properly, the flue duct becomes essentially useless—and that’s certainly unacceptable.

After analyzing the consequences of failing to remove mist, we’ve found that both types of hazards are unacceptable. Therefore, mist eliminators—a crucial piece of equipment in industrial production—must be equipped in every facility. Whether this particular type of mist-removal device is reasonably priced or requires substantial capital investment, manufacturers engaged in industrial production will still need to acquire it. After all, only by relying on such machinery can they effectively achieve the goal of removing mist, thereby ensuring that all components inside the absorption tower remain well protected against corrosion and fouling.

Therefore, if such a mist eliminator hasn't been purchased, the consequences are easy to imagine—and there's no need to rely on luck. If a manufacturer believes that, even without such a mist-removal device, industrial desulfurization projects and other related processes can still proceed smoothly, it suggests that this manufacturer could end up incurring substantial financial losses. After all, such negligence is extremely serious. Once parts of the machinery used in production become partially corroded, the equipment will have to be replaced entirely. Moreover, the production process cannot resume until these machines have been properly repaired. Consequently, delays caused by such mishaps will inevitably lead to significant losses. Furthermore, the price of this type of mist-removal equipment is quite reasonable.
