1. The mist eliminators in desulfurization systems typically consist of two main components: the eliminator body itself, and the flushing system with nozzles.
2. The mist eliminator body is assembled from mist eliminator blades, clamps, fixtures, supports, and other components arranged according to a specific structural design. Its function is to capture droplets and small amounts of dust in the flue gas, reduce water carryover in the flue gas, and prevent fan vibration.
3. The typical arrangements for demisters include horizontal, vertical, and ridge-type configurations. In general, the ridge-type arrangement is used in applications with higher gas velocities, while the vertical arrangement is employed on the horizontal section of the flue duct at the absorption tower outlet.
4. The demister flushing system mainly consists of flushing nozzles, a flushing pump, pipelines, valves, pressure gauges, and an electrical control section. Its function is to periodically flush the droplets and dust particles captured by the demister blades, keeping the blade surfaces clean and moist, preventing scaling and blockage of the blades, and ensuring the normal operation of the system.
